My mother always asks me to bring it to important occasions, such as an examination, recruitment, interview, match-making appointment and wedding.
The amulet here was not any amulet from a celestial shrine or temple, it was made by my mother...Inside a brand new handkerchief there was a small bottle of Seirogan. The handkerchief was then tied up with a red silk ribbon.
On such important days, a person who often has stomach problems like me felt the great love of Seirogan and my mother. On many occasions, it was the accompaniment of the Seirogan and the tenderness of my mother that made me what I am today.
I am grateful to the Seirogan and my mother. From now on, I will treat the Seirogan as my life companion and go forward with it.

We often put the Seirogan between the slits to ease a toothache.
When I was small, my mother used to put Seirogan between my two incisors when I had a bad toothache. However, my teeth were blackened by the Seirogan (a custom of married women in the past). Everybody began laughing at me. For this reason, I always felt resentment toward my mother.
From then on, I made a vow: I will never put the Seirogan inside the slits between my teeth.

After I hurried home and gave it to him, he complained, “I told you to buy me Seirogan, whydid you me Seirogan Toi-A?” I said, “Isn’t it easier to take in a sugar-coasted tablet?” He said, “Seirogan Toi-A is just not right. The smell of Seirogan works better. I have been using Seirogan since I was a child, and it is because of the smell that makes it more effective!”
Maybe it was because he believed that the “air” was the cause of the illness. Therefore, the “smell” was important to him.

My mother insisted that Seirogan is gastrointestinal medication.
