- What is ClO2?
ClO2 is the major ingredient in the sanitation control Series that kills bacterial (viruses) and removes odor by initiating special oxidation with the reactions of free radicals.
Initiating oxidation with the reactions of free radicals.

ClO2 is a yellow gas at normal temperature and pressure.
Its concentration is unable to be maintained when dissolved in liquids.
However, Taiko Pharmaceutical has successfully made “maintaining ClO2 concentration in solution and gel for a longer time” a reality in its sanitation control Product Series.※ Patent No. 3110724

The water disinfection that is used in Japan disinfects bacteria with chlorine and sodium hypochlorite (bleach). However, the carcinogenic trihalomethanes (THMs) produce after the disinfection as a result of the reaction of chlorine and sodium hypochlorite with organic substances in water.
While no THMs will produce when in disinfection using ClO2, ClO2 disinfection has become a common practice for drinks in the USA and Canada. In Japan, the use of ClO2 to disinfect tap water and pool water has begun.
When compared with other products, the capacity, efficiency and scope of disinfection of the ClO2 makes it superior to others.※※ ※※Takayama et al. (1995) Antibacterial and Antifungal Agent Journal, 23: 401-406.
